Oxford Softworks was proud to be commissioned by Nokia to develop a suite of family board games in order to help showcase the Nokia Mobile Entertainment Developers program. This was Nokia’s first foray into WAP gaming, and an early indication that casual gaming was to become a core part of mobile gaming.

Through association with Purple Software, Oxford Softworks’ officers were involved in the design and implementation of Purple Software’s Bafta award winning SMS chess; this was the first ever Bafta Award for mobile gaming.
